About the role
Looking for a security/GRC professional to work freelance on real SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA & GDPR implementations for tech companies. You'll be assigned to client projects as they come up and work with the Packets team on how an ISMS is actually built and run.
What you will do
- Support client engagements across compliance frameworks
- Assess security posture & identify gaps
- Assist with ISMS implementation; policies, risks, controls
- Map practices to framework requirements
- Organize & validate compliance evidence
- Support risk assessments & audit readiness
- Use Packets' platform for compliance workflows
- Join client calls; gain exposure to DPDP, GDPR & AI governance
What we are looking for
- Background in InfoSec/Cybersecurity (training, certs, or experience)
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2
- Understands risk assessment, controls, access & vendor management
- Comfortable with compliance documentation
- Exposure to cloud/SaaS environments
- Strong analytical & communication skills
- ISO 27001 LI/LA, SOC 2 training, Security+ etc. a plus
- Available to take on assigned projects flexibly
